We will be open for regular business hours on Thursday, December 31st: 8:15 am – 5:00 pm.

A Century of Hospitality – New Book Now Available

Small Business Tools on the Web

Just came across this article in The New York Times online by Paul Brown in which he discusses free tools for small businesses available on the web. Click on over to his article for the full scoop, or check out some below:

  • Inc.com – Free registration required for access, but you’ll find information ranging from Financial Management, Hiring and Recruiting, Managing Employees, Marketing and more.
  • Small Business CEO (smbceo.com) – Their Free Tools page includes a Business Owners Toolkit, links to Free Small Business eBooks and more.
  • Entrepreneur.com – Gives this word of caution on free resources on the web: “Always be cautious. Free tools can be unreliable or come with hidden catches, like requirements that you display certain advertisements if you use the tool.” But they also point out that there are a number of reliable free tools out there.
  • SBA.gov – The Small Business Administration’s website includes a host of information on small business loans, grants, licenses and more. Be sure to also check out their TOOLS page where they have a library of articles, podcasts and monthly web chats.
  • Finally, check out TheFreeSite.com – Yup, free stuff galore!
